Great day, delicious food! We wanted to get off the tourist path and enjoy some authentic Mexican cuisine. Our host Tanya was very hospitable and knowledgeable. Had fun visiting the market to get the food. In the kitchen she kept the food coming! All of it was so good and fun to help prepare. Loved that she shared the recipes as well. We would love to come back and do with our family!

Perfect for families! We had an amazing experience with our guide Sergio, he was so educated and personable. I prefer supporting small local business and giving back to the community that so heavily relies on tourism. I 100% recommend this service! If ever back, will book again!

Great experience and food Ricardo was our guide. I was traveling with my mom who has hard time traveling due to the health condition, but she really wanted to see pieces of Mayan history and culture with her own eyes. Ricardo was very accommodating and my mom had a blast visiting these sacred places. Thank you!

Great tour Sergio was a gracious and fun guide. It was a great tour and wonderful to see more of the island. Tequila tasting, mayan ruins, a mangrove swamp (including seeing a baby crocodile) and the lighthouse - all great! The view from the top of the lighthouse was beautiful. Lunch was delicious- the fish was so tasty.

Relaxed Cosumel island tour with private driver Gave Very Good as it was above Average and driver drove us all the time, so we can relax and not to be stressed on bumpy roads.
Tequila place we visited was one-star, and our friend had better experience in other place.
It was windy all the day and we are happy that we opted out buggy tour roads are so dusty!
Food was good, just small portion.
Unfortunately due to wind East side was not swimmable.

Thank you, Pedro!!! One of the best days, ever! First off, let me say that our guide Pedro, is one of the most knowledgeable, fun, kind, and friendly people we have ever met. He made this the most enjoyable experience our family could have ever asked for! We learned about tequila, chocolate, guacamole, the Spanish language, turtle rescue, the history of the island, conservation, scuba diving, cenotes, salsa, and the list goes on and on what a day!
We started by meeting him in downtown, and although our ship dropped us at a different port, the business was so incredibly accommodating. We took a taxi to the original drop off location, but if we had called they would have adjusted for us. Once we met him we hopped in the jeep and were off.
Our day started with a short tour of the downtown area, with a bit of history of the Mayans, and explanation of the monuments we were seeings. Our next stop was a tequila tasting and lesson. We were traveling with my 13 and 10 year old and they even thought it was interesting. There was a chocolate tasting, so we did that as well. It was a pleasant experience, and we did end up buying some chocolate and peanut butter tequila too
We then traveled the coast where we stopped and saw the neighborhood gator, looked at some beautiful beaches and took some photos, and learned all about sea turtle rescue and island conservation. We want to go back again in the summer so we can experience the turtle hatching and help with rescue!
It was around lunchtime, so Pedro gave us the choice of where we might want to eat. We chose to wait to eat towards the end of our trip, so we kept going. We appreciated the choices and options he provided. He adjusted for our families interests, and that made the experience so nice.
Next was our trip into El Cedral and the Jade Cenote. The history and culture in El Cedral was so incredibly special. It was just a beautiful area, and we loved learning about the people that lived there and the celebrations the area holds.
When we arrived at the Jade Cenote there were a lot of tourist groups. Pedro helped us line jump and we decided to swim. My husband and son jumped off the dock, but my daughter and I decided to jump from the hole above. It was exhilarating! One of the coolest things I have ever experienced! We didn’t stay there long, but that was ok. It was all about the experience. There may have been risks with the water quality (lots of bats in the cenote- so cool to see though) and the jump, but for adventure seekers like me, it was AWESOME!
After our jump and swim, Pedro had cold beers and non alcoholic drinks waiting for us. We then did some shopping and learning in the center of El Cedral, where he took us to see the only remaining Mayan ruins on the island. We had learned about the black coral and we stopped at one of the local jewelers where we were able to purchase some beautiful pieces to remember our journey.
Next we were off to lunch and snorkeling. The water was very rough that day, so Pedro gave us a choice whether to swim in the shallows for a few or check out another cenote. We could see snorkeling would be tough, so we adjusted our trip again and did a leisurely lunch and then visited a second cenote, which much was very different from the first. Although we were really looking forward to snorkeling, you can’t determine God’s plans with the weather, so again we were grateful for Pedro adjusting to make our day an amazing experience.
We ate lunch at Tortugas, had delicious fajitas, and Pedro sat and ate with us, teaching us about food, culture, and history the whole time. He even snuck into the kitchen to get us some Habanero salsa to try!
We made it back to our port in plenty of time to do a little shopping and say goodbye. I didn’t go in for a hug, but I wanted to! It felt like we were on a day of adventure with a lifelong friend and it made for a magical and memorable experience. This was our last adventure on a 9 day trip spanning four different countries, and my 10 year old son said it was his favorite day ever because of Pedro.
If you are considering this tour, do it. We would do it again in a heartbeat! If you can request a guide, we HIGHLY recommend Pedro!
If you read this, Pedro, thank you for making this the best experience ever. As we said, we are waiting for you to come to Michigan to scuba the Great Lakes! We will have a room waiting! You’ll get used to the cold. We swear!

Great adventure! Sergio was one of the best tour guides I’ve had. He made is feel like family and we spent the whole time talking about culture, history, interesting topics and laughing the whole time. He def is on our list going forward for tours when we come back to Cozumel. Great time!

Sergio is awesome! Sergio was an extraordinary tour guide, far surpassing all of our expectations from the very beginning. Opting for the private tour which included tequila tasting, a visit to the enchanting Baby Beach, and an unforgettable snorkeling experience, we were treated to an adventure that was both immersive and deeply personal. Sergio's knowledge and passion for the area shone through in every aspect of the tour, making us feel not only welcomed but truly part of something special. The tequila tasting was an exquisite journey through flavors and traditions, where Sergio expertly guided us through each sample, sharing stories and insights that enriched the experience immeasurably. At Baby Beach, his local knowledge led us to serene spots that felt like our own private paradise, away from the usual crowds. And snorkeling was simply breathtaking under his guidance, revealing a vibrant underwater world that we might have missed without his expert eye. What set Sergio apart was his ability to make every moment feel tailored and personal, ensuring that we were always comfortable, engaged, and thoroughly entertained. His warmth and genuine enthusiasm for sharing his love of the region made us feel not just like tourists, but like honored guests.I cannot recommend Sergio highly enough. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a blend of both, his tours offer an unforgettable experience that will leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime. Truly, Sergio embodies the spirit of hospitality and adventure, making every moment of our tour an absolute joy.

Fun and informational tour We did the dune buggy tour and had a great time. Pedro our guide was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot. We felt lucky to have him.
The tequila tasting was interesting but we didn’t buy any bottles. At the eco park we saw crocodiles and other animals. Didn’t get to snorkel cause the water was too rough but the beach club we went to was nice.

Memorable Day This was the perfect excursion and exactly what we hoped for. We got to tour the island and visit very unique, beautiful and memorable places. The places we visited were picturesque with beautiful natural scenery. Our lunch was delicious and relaxing as I was also able to get a wonderful massage. Our tour guide and new friend Ricardo was amazing. He took us to places we requested and even some unique unexpected spots that we will remember always. We loved hearing his stories and experiences of the island as well as his volunteer sea turtle work. Thank you so much for this memorable day!!!

A great time! Sergio was great! We were a family of 6, so he took half of us in one Jeep and I drove the rest of us in a second Jeep. We visited the Tequila Ranch, a small, quiet beach, Jade Cavern, and then had lunch at the Tortugas beach club. We could have snorkeled, but my grandparents were having a rough day so we decided to leave early and get them back to the ship.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for something fun and scenic in Cozumel!

Great family trip off the beaten path! We had an amazing day with Ricardo! We have seen all the popular spots in Cozumel and we were looking for something more “local” without the crowds - this tour was exactly that! Ricardo was so knowledgeable and we never felt rushed. This was a great tour and we will def come back to use Jeep Riders again.

Great day trip from PDC Great day out with Sergio. He made sure we were comfortable at all times and tailored activities to our needs. Highlights were the tequila stop and lunch.
We’d been considering hiring a buggy and driving ourselves but we would have missed most of what we did (added stops to a cenote and a blow hole).

Beautiful stops and wonderful guide Ricardo was our guide and he was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the history and ecosystem. We loved hearing about the sea turtles. Our group swam in Jade Caverns, which was a little murky and smelled like sulfur, but we really enjoyed it. We also stopped by another cenote that was clear and beautiful and off the beaten path, and we stopped at a few beautiful locations along the less populated side of the island. The views were great and we stayed cool all day because we kept getting in the water! The jeep was comfortable and had a cooler of cold drinks, and we actually really enjoyed the tequila tasting (none of us particularly like tequila, so we were really surprised at how delicious it was). We were also able to linger at the areas that we loved and skip over some of the parts that we were less interested in. The whole day was pleasant and enjoyable.

A Must Do For A Day in Cozumel!! We went on the Tequila/Beach/Ruins/lunch excursion today and it was so much fun! Sergio was our guide and he was great! Private Jeep tour We had the best private tour with Jorge! We were able to swim with locals, visit beautiful jade cenote just the 3 of us. We stopped at beautiful spots along the way for pictures and had an incredible chocolate/tequola tasting. Overall, we had so much fun. I highly recommend - great experience! Super safe for families and solo travelers.

Private Custom Tour This was my 2nd experience with Jeep Riders. This time it was my wife and I along with 9 other friends. We were picked up at our meet spot on time by Sergio, our guide (HE IS A ROCK STAR) The company secured a van that accommodated all 11 of us with a driver - Leo (ANOTHER ROCK STAR). We visited a tequila factory, Punta Sur, beach front lunch (included) and wrapped up with a cooking class at the operators home. almost 6hrs. To a person - was the best experience of the entire week (on a 7 day cruise). We were treated like royalty. In both my excursions with Jeep Riders - i felt like family. Fun, informative, and attentive to our wants and needs. I cant recommend this company enough. Another booking with them is a NO BRAINER on our next visit to Cozumel

Great drivers We had a snafu in the beginning, as the jeep could only hold 5 people, and we had 6. They wanted to split us and have one of us drive a vehicle ourselves. We spoke with the owner and he provided us with an extra driver. It turned out well. Ricardo and Sergio were wonderful. They took such good care of us and made our trip special. Thank you for making it right.

Nice way to see the island This was a fun way to see many parts of Cozumel! Our guide was very accommodating. It unfortunately was a windy overcast day so some of the beach stops weren't as enjoyable. Our meal was ok and we enjoyed our time at the beach club. I agree that many of the vendors were overpriced so just remember that when deciding if to buy things.

Cooking class was the BEST! We had the best day cooking with Tania. We loved exploring the local markets and picking out fresh, local products. We made so many delicious dishes - salsas, guacamole, tortillas, fish, desert, and margaritas. With all recipes provided. We can't wait to get home and share these dishes with our friends and family. We can't fault the day. If you're on the fence, book it. It was a fantastic day.

Personalized Tour Pedro P. was an excellent guide. We enjoy the personal touch of the tour. Pedro customized the tour to our likes, for instance we had previously gone on a tour w/this company so we didn't want to go to a Tequila tasting again. No problem. Also, the weather didn't fully cooperate that day, but Pedro suggested alternatives that we could do. He was great, very personable, we really enjoyed seeing new sites on the island and learning from Pedro. Meet up was easy from the cruise pier and he returned us w/plenty of time to spare. Great trip.

Excellent experience This was the second time traveling to Cozumel within 7 months. Both times we booked with Jeep Riders and both experiences were excellent. Our first tour guide during June of 2023 was Tomas and our second during January of 2024 was Pedro. We booked the second time because of our good experience from the first. If you are worried to book excursions not affiliated with a cruise line, don’t be afraid. This group is a class act.

ONE OF THE MOST AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCES EVER This excursion was a last minute booking on our way to the ship. Absolutely appreciate Jordan's knowledge and patience to take us to all the "off the beaten path" spots to see some real history. We visited the lighthouse, a few shops, some Mayan ruins and tasted some small batch tequila. That seafood soup on the side of the road was out of this world, and I'm a chef. Thoroughly impressed with a simple and delicious lunch. If this is something you're considering, book it. Value for money, hands down.

Wonderful tour of Cozumel! An absolutely wonderful tour of Cozumel! Tanya was our guide and was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. She even made an extra stop on our request.
We visited a Tequila tasting (the only stop we did not like - unprofessional and over priced Tequila), a beautiful beach on the ‘wild side’ of Cozumel, a Cenote, an extra stop at Welcome to Miami (ask your tour guide to stop there!) and a fun beach club complete with lunch. It was a wonderful day and would do it again!

Great day in Cozumel We had a wonderful day in Cozumel with Jorge as our guide. We are a family of four with two teenage daughters. He gave us some suggestions on things we could do. I already knew I did not want to do the tequila tasting, and he was just fine with skipping that. We learned about Mayan culture at Otoch which was a fun stop that even the teenagers enjoyed. We then drove to some beautiful beaches on the east side. Jorge suggested an amazing spot for a margarita. I could have stayed there all day. We ended at the beach club. We enjoyed swimming- you do need to enter the water on a ramp, which was fine with us. One of our daughters took a paddle board out and the other one got a “fish pedicure” they were both very happy with everything they got to do on our day in Cozumel. I was worried about picking the right activity for our one day in Cozumel, and I am very happy I chose this as we were able to see a lot in a short amount of time.

Cozumel Cultural Jeep Tour (with Ricardo) My wife and I spent a day with Ricardo, our amazing tour guide, on the Cozumel Cultural Jeep Tour. Absolutely the best tour we’ve been on thanks to our guide Ricardo, who was super informative, attentive to our needs, and who’s easy-going and genuinely caring demeanor made us feel safe and well cared for.
We learned a bunch about tequila and had no pressure to buy any, we made chocolate and corn tortillas at a Mayan Village, we visited Mayan ruins, and the spectacular Eastside beaches. At lunch, we had the chance to talk with Ricardo about his country, the people, in life. We are forever grateful for having had this opportunity!

First time to Cozumel on a Cruise Our guide Jordan who drove us in the Jeep was really cool, patient and accommodating. Would highly recommend his services again.
The Mayan tour was educational thanks to our private tour guide at that location. My teenagers were actually listening and engaged.
The tequila tour was ok, it was very short, if you’re not a tequila drinker, I would skip.
The lunch that was included was ok, we were very hungry so we ordered additional food which seemed very over priced. But the atmosphere was cool.
The snorkeling location was fun for the teenagers.
Overall a great excursion if you haven’t been to Cozumel before .
Reminder to bring a credit card and cash for extras and tips
